Let's all gear up, pack up some chairs and blankets, and bring a favorite dish. It's time to heat up the grill for the Fil-Am of SCV's Annual Family Easter Picnic.
Once again, it's that time of the year to celebrate the very essence of our Association. Fil-Am started with a small group of Filipinos living in a vast valley of farmland, the Santa Clarita Valley. Getting together to celebrate Easter was one of the many ways that group of Filipino parents were able to instill the value of close-knit family ties to their children and grandchildren, in a fun and exciting way!
Now 41 years later, the very same group of families - the Bertulfos, Imperials, Montebons, Carantos, Carreons, Obnials, Resellas, and Gatilaos, among others, have managed to continue to engage not only their children, who now have families of their own, but also majority of the Filipino-Americans…
