COME AND CELEBRATE
OUR 41ST INDUCTION BALL & CHARITY GALA
Join us for Fil-Am of SCV's biggest event of the year!
Let's celebrate our 2025 Board of Directors and Trustees for a well-deserved recognition in continuing the legacy of our association.
Our Induction Ball and Charity Gala will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 starting at 5pm at the Hyatt Regency Valencia Grand Ballroom. Our professional photographer will be at the 5:00 pm Red Carpet arrival to capture your "Glitz and Glamour" moments. Ladies, dress up to the nines with an elegant gown or Filipiniana dress. Gentlemen, put on your impressive suit, tuxedo or Barong.
The event will be graced by the City of Santa Clarita Mayor, Hon. Bill Miranda and Philippine Consul General of Los Angeles, Hon. Adelio Angelito Cruz. Savor a three (3) course dinner, and enjoy an evening of entertainment and all-night dancing, all for a great cause!
This evening aims to raise funds in support of all our programs geared towards fulfilling our association's mission in promoting, engaging and preserving our Filipino culture, traditions and heritage. We achieve these through cultural dance performances, Tagalog language classes, cultural festivals, entrepreneur engagement, family events and entertainment. We give back through charitable programs like feeding the homeless and single mother's program. And proudly grant scholarships to orphaned students in the Philippines and high school seniors in Santa Clarita.
Your monetary or in-kind donation, the purchase of your gala tickets, your participation in our silent auction and your sponsorship on our souvenir program will help us reach our goal. Please participate and invite your friends, families and business owners to take part on any of our fundraising efforts. Let’s come together to make a difference! Tag a business owner or share this with someone who would love to support!
Thank you, Maraming Salamat and see you at the Gala!

CONTINUING OUR TRADITION,
A WHOLESOME FAMILY PICNIC!
We had such an amazing time last Sunday, March 30, 2024, at our Spring Family Picnic!
The most rewarding part of the day was seeing all of the kids having fun, playing games and seeing their precious smiles, it’s simply priceless! And the adults equally had a great time. We made new friends, reconnected with old friends and strengthened the bond among our Fil-Am of SCV family and beyond.
This picnic was in lieu of the Easter Picnic which was cancelled due to rain. And despite the rescheduling, we had very good attendance. This simply shows how we Filipinos, loves spending time with our family, getting together with friends, engaging in outdoor activities and simply soaking under the sun.
Our Picnic Committee headed by Ronnie Tejada, Mike Justiniano and Nic Montebon, Jr. did an amazing job putting this picnic together. We also acknowledges the hard work of committee members Myra Miranda, Mul Tayoba, Zeny Justiniano and Linda Crawford and host Alexis Riguerra certainly kept our even alive and exciting.
Thank you to all who participated and volunteered, we are looking forward to having you again at our Easter Family Picnic next year.
Thank you once again to all, Maraming Salamat sa inyong Lahat!
Nic Montebon
PRO
40TH ANNIVERSARY,
A CELEBRATION OF THE PAST AND THE FUTURE
OF FIL-AM OF SCV
BY: JACQUELINE FERRER-MARTINEZ, 2023 PRESIDENT & 2024 BOARD OF
DIRECTOR , FIL-AM OF SCV
40 years ago, a few ‘pioneers’ had the vision to unite Filipino Americans living in the Sta. Clarita Valley, to form a
social organization, become active in the community and be recognized as a united Filipino group. Thank you to
our pioneers, the late Adrian Gomez and Rudy Correa, Jun Gatilao, Cesar Obnial, Art Caranto, and Fred Bertulfo,
for having the vision.
On March 23, 2024, Fil-Am of SCV filled the Hyatt Hotel’s Grand Ballroom in celebration of 40 years of
philanthropy. Of course, the Honorable Mayor Cameron Smyth was on-hand to help us celebrate. Celebrating our
40th Anniversary means Fil-Am is even older than the city of Santa Clarita! This milestone was accomplished thru
the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, our Board of Directors, and Trustees. We depend solely upon our
volunteers to help our association thrive and do the necessary work.
